Stress free visits

You are here: Home / Behaviour Tips / Stress free visits

To ensure a happy, safe, and thorough check over of your pet we need to minimize stressors in and around the veterinary hospital.

If you know your pet may get a little anxious or stressed when coming to the clinic please let us know (at least) the day prior and we can prescribe calming medication to ensure your pet receives the best possible care in a fear-free and friendly environment. These medications are in addition to practices already performed in our clinic including:

• Adaptil bandanas and Feliway spray

• Separation of dogs and cats within the waiting rooms

and hospital

• Reduce co-mingling prior to consultation

If you would like any more information on how these medications work or additional therapies we can prescribe longer term please contact the clinic.
