Easter is a time that most of us look forward to, allowing us guilt free consumption of lots of CHOCOLATE. Our pets, particularly dogs also have a sweet tooth for chocolate. Unfortunately for them, Ingestion of chocolate can be life-threatening.
Clinical signs of chocolate toxicity include:
:hyperactivity
:anxiousness
:vomiting
:diarrhoea
:abnormal heart rhythms.
These cases require immediate veterinary care. If your furry friend does eat any amount of chocolate, please call us straight away. This will allow us to assess your pet, induce vomiting if necessary and give supportive care.
