Vicki was born and spent her childhood years in Sydney before attending Brisbane University for her Vet Science degree. She joined the Lake Vet practice in 1997 after spending a number of years in practice in Queensland.
Vicki has a special interest in Veterinary Ultrasonography (and is at present enjoying our new ultrasound machine), and loves all medicine and surgery, especially her feline work.
In 2004 Vicki completed a distance education course in Small Animal Surgery, which involved a lot of study, and gave her many extra skills and knowledge in this field. Vicki has also
completed another distance education course in the field of Oncology. Oncology has become a very important field in small animal medicine, and with the improved diagnostics and treatments for cancer patients, many clients are willing to go the extra mile.
Away from work, Vicki loves renovating houses. Her other passions include Arab horses, big shaggy dogs and bagpipes. The household presently consists of two dogs Paddy, a cross Terrier and Hannah, a Standard Schnauzer, two fussy felines, Lilly and Molly, Milo a Burmese, and a long-suffering father.
